Last year we lost a talented and creative member of the Valley Arts Group. Golf and art were two of her passions. Friends of Christine created an auction gift basket for the women’s golf service project. The basket included art books, art supplies, free membership to the Valley Arts Group, golf rounds and other items. Funds from the silent auction go to Hospice.

“Lavender Mist”, a mixed media painting by Beryl Adams tied for first place for artists of the month for the Whatcom Art Guild. During the month of April, it will hang at the Whatcom Art Market in Fairhaven. Congratulations Beryl!
Penny had three textile pieces accepted into the Juried Spring Show at the Jansen Art Center in Lynden. They are currently on display in the Jansen Art Center library with other textiles: some silk painting, some nuno felting and some exquisite applique/quilting.

The textile exhibit will be on display for two months. The opening party is Thursday, March 2, 6-8pm.
