My family has been in the Northwest for generations. Originally farmers the more recent generations have become, small businessmen, loggers, truck drivers, shipyard workers, engineers, teachers and finally an artist. After leaving our Skagit Valley farm I attended the U of W.
The Arts have been my interest and my career. After a master’s in fine arts from the University of Washington I ended teaching the visual arts in a Jesuit High School.
Kayaking became part of my life and a way to explore and to be part of our beautiful Northwest. My love of the Northwest, it’s wilderness and its critters is apparent in my work. Currently watercolor is my medium of choice.
