From her studio nestled in the forests of Sudden Valley, Chele Eva Armstrong creates art inspired by the moon and the mysteries of the universe. The Moon, the cosmos, nature and ancient art and architecture all call to her. Many of her paintings are taken directly from meditation.
Chele has been living in Sudden Valley for twenty-four years. She is a self-taught artist that has been dabbling in many different mediums including acrylics, sculpture and various crafts. She began with drawing as a child, learned the art of Mehndi after moving to Washington and was the henna booth at the Bellingham Farmer’s Market for 17 years. When the pandemic hit and put an end to in-person business, she began painting. She began by using stencil butters in henna cones to create artwork but has sense moved on to creating abstract realism in acrylics using the moon, mysticism and nature as her muse.
You can find her as Moonscapes and Mehndi on Etsy, Instagram, Facebook, and see her speed painting videos on TikTok. She is also available as a mehndi artist for your local event. You may contact her by emailing hennabham@gmail.com.
