I don’t ever remember a time when I wasn’t interested in the visual arts. I grew up in Seattle in the “infamous” Capitol Hill area, but spent most of my life in Louisiana. In 2016 my husband and I moved to Bellingham for retirement. We’ve made Sudden Valley our home since 2017.
My style of art is based on the Old Master’s method of using tinted canvases and the layering of glazes. I enjoy painting landscapes primarily. There are so many beautiful sights here in the Northwest, that finding inspiration is never ending. I also enjoy painting animals/birds.
“From the mountains, to the prairies, to the oceans white with foam….” is a familiar song. The Great Northwest is blessed with all of these amazing sights. Subjects for landscape paintings abound. It is my hope that these paintings remind you of places you may have visited or like to visit.
