The Sudden Valley Art in the Barn group is a non-profit association devoted to energizing the arts in Sudden Valley and the artist in all of us.
The Sudden Valley Art in the Barn group was founded in 2005 to meet the needs of Sudden Valley artists and residents. This group promotes art exhibits and sales, field trips, art classes, Plein air painting sessions and art challenges. One yearly goal is to provide a Student Art Scholarship to a local art student. We meet quarterly, on the second Saturday of January, April, July and October at 10 a.m. in the lobby of the Creekside Barn Community Center. New artwork is hung after these meetings in our three venues in Sudden Valley (Community Center, Clubhouse, and South Whatcom Library). Our artists regularly exhibit at other venues around the greater Bellingham community.
